Constant volatility in pricing seems to be the only constant these days. Thankfully we continue to see lots of deals on products when you compare brands, so make sure you are checking out what your options are. There are more frozen deals this week, but they seem to be concentrated in Chicken with not as many in Beef and Pork.
We also know that you don’t always want to have to change your main vendor. All of the opportunities below are from within single distributors! So here are the deals this week:
tl;dr
· Some more Fresh to Frozen deals, especially in Chicken and a couple in Ground Beef. There are Brand deals in almost every category, so take some time to compare your current order guide. Produce deals continue to be mainly in Odds & Ends, so if the differences work for you then you have some opportunity.
· Smaller overall discounts this week. You can find deals of 37-38% from single vendors with similar opportunities across vendors (36-42%). As usual, even if you are using just one vendor you can find deals.
· Potential Cash and Carry savings is flat this week (40%). If you have some items that are hitting your bottom line particularly hard and have some flexible labor, you may want to check out your local Cash and Carry, but otherwise likely not worth it.
Brand
Lots of deals this week were on similar products from different brands. Keeping most attributes consistent, there definitely are trends in several product categories where you can find better deals with some brands than others.
